
SALT LAKE CITY -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team won its second-straight match with a 2-0 win over Bethesda Christian University in the Westminster Invite at Dumke Field on Sunday afternoon.
Bellevue improved to 2-2 on the season with the win.
The Bruins found the back of the net just 10:27 into the match on Rob Jackson's unassisted goal. Jackson leads BU with three goals this season.
BU added to its lead on Tobias Maertzk's goal on a pass from Kristopher McFadyen in the 78th minute.
Scott Robertson (1-0) stopped two shots as he earned his first win of the season.
Bellevue outshot BCU 11-5.
The Bruins will make their home debut on Friday, Sept. 6 when they play host to No. 17 Benedictine College for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off at Tranquility Park.
