HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Savannah College of Art & Design scored two second-half goals to pull out a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Bellevue University Sunday afternoon in the William Carey Invite.
The Bruins (0-2) struck first with a goal by Rob Jackson in the 30th minute off a pass from Corey Smith. SCAD answered with two goals early in the second half to rally for the 2-1 win.
Jordan Trinci-Lyne tied the tied the game at 55:16 with a goal off an assist from Alex Jamroz. Will Oswin scored the game-winner five minutes later off a pass from John McAleenan.
Ben Martin (0-2) suffered the loss, allowing two goals while saving 10 shots. Josh Brown earned the win with two saves in 90 minutes in goal.
The Bruins will travel to Salt Lake City to particpate in the Westminster Invite on Friday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Sept. 1. Bellevue will battle Westminster on Friday at 4 p.m. and Bethesda Christian on Sunday at 11 a.m.
