OMAHA, Neb. -- Freshman Jamie Henderson scored his first career goal to give the Bellevue University men's soccer team a 1-0 MCAC victory over Southwestern Christian Saturday afternoon at Tranquility Park.
The Bruins, who are riding a six-game winning streak, improved to 7-6-1 on the season and 4-0 in the MCAC. SCU fell to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Henderson scored unassisted at 67:01 for the game's lone goal.
Bellevue held a 19-7 advantage in shots and a 6-1 margin in shots on goal.
Juan Cale got his first start and first shutout of the season, recording one save in the victory.
The Bruins will host Waldorf College at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Tranquililty Park.
