Mustangs come back for 2-1 win over Bruins

OMAHA, Neb. -- Morningside College recorded two second-half goals to come back for a 2-1 victory over the Bellevue University men's soccer team in non-conference soccer action Tuesday night at Tranquility Park. 

The Bruins (1-4-1) head to Mishawaka, Ind.  this Friday-Saturday (Sept. 14-15) where they will participate in the Bethel (Ind.) Classic. Bellevue will meet tournament host Bethel at 7:30 p.m. Friday night. Morningside improved to 1-3 on the season with the win.

Emmanuel Pena scored his first goal of the season at 11:04 to give the Bruins an early 1-0 advantage. Pena's shot was unassisted from the top of the box and rebounded off the top of the post before going in the goal. 

Morningside tied the game in the 58th minute with a goal at the top of the box by Kyle Larkin off a pass from Cameron Meter.  

Saxx Adams scored the game-winner at 69:09, also from Meter. 

Morningside outshot the Bruins 15-13 and held a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.
