JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- Matt Balshaw scored with just 39 seconds remaining in the second overtime to hand the Bellevue University men's soccer team a 2-1 loss to Jamestown College Saturday afternoon at Rotary Field. JC improved to 4-3 while BU fell to 0-8 on the season.
George Gauld scored the first goal of the match at the 30:32 mark in the opening half off a corner kick by Dominic O'Connor.
Graeme Eaglesham scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 77th minute, on a penalty kick, to send the match into overtime before Balshaw's goal, off another corner kick, ended in the match in the final minute of play.
Bellevue outshot Jamestown by a 23-14 margin.
The Bruins will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday, Sept. 23 for a 5:00 p.m. CST match with Westminster College.
