MADISON, S.D. -- Fresh off his title at the Nebraska Intercollegiate, Dylan Rodgers has earned North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week honors.
Rodgers, a freshman from Meridian, Idaho, won the Nebraska Intercollegiate played at the 7,001-yard, par-72 Awarii Dunes Golf Club in Axtell, Neb. He helped lead the Bruins to the team title as well by finishing the 36-hole, 11-team event at even par with rounds of 2-under 70 and 2-over 74.
Every golfer in the event but Rodgers finished over par.
Rodgers registered 14 birdies over the two rounds, including six on the front nine in Friday's opening round.
The Bruins will be idle until Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, when they travel to Kohler, Wis., to compete in the Kohler Collegiate Classic, which will be played at Whistling Straits.
