SILVIS, Ill. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team continued its consistent play at the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship and currently sits in a tie for sixth place after two rounds of play in the 72-hole tournament. The four-day, 29-team championship is being played at the TPC at Deere Run. The course measures 6,691 yards and is par 71. 

The top 17 teams advanced to Thursday's third round with the remaining teams missing the cut and ending their 2022 seasons.  

The Bruins recorded a team score of 2-over 286 on the day to go with an opening-round total of 1-over 285. Their 3-over team total puts them in a tie for sixth place with Wayland Baptist. 

Dalton State University took over the team lead at 8-under par after shooting the best team score of the tournament with an 11-under 273.

Keiser University is two strokes back at 6-under par.  

Hugo Ronnberg snagged five birdies on the day and finished his second round with an even-par 71. Coupled with Tuesday's 71, Ronnberg is even par for the tournament putting him in a tie for 26th place.  

Alex Zillig shot a 1-over 72 and is tied with Ronnberg at even par for the tournament after carding a 1-under 70 in the first round. He is in a tie for 26th place in the individual standings. Zillig's second round consisted of three birdies, 11 pars, and four bogeys.  

Rodrigo Navarrete collected an even-par 71 on Wednesday with two birdies, two bogeys, and 14 pars. He is 1-over par for the tournament and currently in a tie for 34th place. 

Hugo Brandt matched his first-round total of 1-over 72 and moved into a tie for 37th place in the individual standings with a 36-hole total of 2-over par. Brandt's round was highlighted by collecting six birdies, three on the front nine and three on the back nine. 

Baptiste Bonnet registered three birdies on the day and finished with an 8-over 79 to go with Tuesday's 2-over 73, putting him in a tie for 113th place.   

Point University's Brendan Porter is the individual leader at 13-under par with rounds of 64 and 65. Wayland Baptist's Sebastien Tremulot is two strokes back at 11-under.
