LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Alex Zillig posted the best round of the day by a BU golfer as the Bellevue University men's golf team shot 317 (+29) as a unit to finish eighth at The Paiute Battle.

Keiser, who began the day, with a 2-stroke lead comfortably pulled away from the field as they shot 2-under as a team to defeat Ottawa by 20 strokes, 583 to 603. The Master's (618), Texas Wesleyan (619), and Embry-Riddle (621) rounded out the top five.
After carding a 310 team score yesterday, Bellevue followed up with a 317 to finish the tournament at 51-over (627) amid challenging course conditions.
Rodrigo Navarrete was the top individual finisher for BU at 9-over (75-78-153) to place 12th in the field.
Hugo Ronnberg finished tied for 16th with a 10-over score (76-78-154). Alex Zillig was the lone Bruin golfer to lower his score from round one to round two, improving upon yesterday's 79 with a 77 today to shoot a 12-over 156 for the tournament.
Hugo Brandt finished 20-over (80-84-164) in a tie for 67th while Floris-Jan Oosterhof checked in at 23-over (81-86-167).
Keiser's Florian Benner took home the individual title as he shot a tournament-low matching 69 to finish at 3-under (72-69-141). He began the day three strokes behind Hector Barnetche who shot 5-over on the day to slide to third place (69-77-146) at 2-over. Benner's teammate Jakob Stavang Stubhaug finished second at 1-over (73-72-145).
