MADISON, S.D. -- For the sixth time in his career, senior Andre Becerra was named the North Star Athletic Association's Golfer of the Week for his performances at the NAIA Fall Preview played at the TPC at Deere Run earlier this week.
Becerra earned a runner-up honor in the NAIA Fall Preview (6,538-yards, par-71). He opened the tournament with an even-par 71, followed by a second-round score of 2-over-par 73. Becerra finished the tournament with 143 strokes (2-over-par) in the field of 75 golfers and led the Bruins to a second-place finish in the 15-team field.
The pinnacle of consistency, Becerra recorded 26 pars, six birdies, and six bogeys throughout the two rounds.
The Bruins will next compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic on Oct. 9-10 at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb.
