MADISON, S.D. -- For the fourth time in his career, senior Andre Becerra has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week in the season-opening U.C. Ferguson Classic in Oklahoma City.
Becerra fired three-consecutive sub-par rounds, finishing at 6-under par for the tournament, to place third overall in the 63-player field at Oklahoma City's Lincoln Park Golf Course.
Becerra shot rounds of 68, 70, and 69 on the 6,576-yard, par-71 course, to help the Bruins to a second-place finish in the 12-team tournament. BU was just six shots back from tournament champion Oklahoma City as BU finished at 4-under par as a team in the 54-hole tournament.
Bellevue returns to action on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 23-24 for the 54-hole Mid-South Classic at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
