MADISON, S.D. -- For the fourth time this season, freshman Rodrigo Navarette has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate Classic earlier this week in Oklahoma City.
Navarette led the Bruins to a fifth-place finish in the 11-team tournament played at the 7,255-yard, par 72 Gaillardia Country Club. The tournament featured the top two teams in the NAIA and five teams in the NAIA top 20. Navarette shot 1-over par 73 in the first round, followed by a second round score of 4-over par 76 and a third round score of 9-over par 81. He recorded a total score of 230, which put him in a tie for 22nd place in the 66-player field.
The Bruins will be idle until the spring portion of the season resumes in March.
