For the second time this season, freshman Rodrigo Navarette has been named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Southwestern Christian Fall Invitational in Oklahoma City.
Navarette led the Bruins to a second-place finish in the 13-team SCU Fall Invite, finishing the tournament at 2-under par which put him in fifth place in the 75-player field. Navarette fired a 4-under 68 in the opening round on the 6,970-yard, par-72 Lake Hefner Golf Course. He followed that up with a 2-over 74 in the final round.
Navarette currently leads the 2018 Bruins with a 70 scoring average and two top-5 finishes.
The Bruins will travel to Des Moines, Iowa on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 1-2 to compete in the Grand View Viking Classic at the Tournament Club of Iowa.
