SILVIS, Ill. -- Sophomore Andre Becerra matched his first round total with a 4-over par 75 and is currently tied for 75th place after two rounds of play in the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship being played at the par-71, 7,066-yard TPC at Deere Run.
Becerra is competing as an individual in the tournament after capturing the title at the North Star Athletic Association Tournament earlier this month.
He recorded two birdies, six bogeys, and 10 pars in Wednesday's second round and is currently 8-over par for the tournament after consecutive 75's in the tournament.
S.M. Lee of Dalton State University is leading the 156-player field at 5-under par.
Coastal Georgia University leads the team standings at 3-under par with teams scores of 280-285 -- 565. Dalton State is one stroke back at 2-under.
Thursday's third round will begin at 8 a.m. central time. The tournament field will be cut after 54 holes and reduced to the top 17 teams and 40 individuals (including ties).
