SILVIS, Ga. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 147 men's golf student-athletes have been named 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Bellevue University's Mike Hannon was named to the prestigious team. He is a senior majoring in liberal studies and history.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
Hannon earned second team all-North Star Athletic Association honors this season after tying for 14th at the NSAA Tournament in Lincoln. He is a four-year letterwinner and was named the 2013-14 MCAC Golfer of the Year.
