MADISON, S.D. -- Fernando Arzate was named the North Star Athletic Association's Golfer of the Week for his performance last week at the Wildcat Cup at the Brickyard.
A freshman from Ocatlan, Mexico, Arzate shot 73 (1-over par) in the first round of the Wildcat Cup He followed that up with a 1-under 71 in the second round as he finished sixth overall in the 105-player field with a total score of 144 (even par in the tournament).
He helped the Bruins to a fourth-place finish in the 19-team tournament hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
The Bruins will compete in the Grand View Spring Invite on Monday-Tuesday, April 18-19, at Otter Creek Golf Cource in Ankeny, Iowa.
