ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team, led by senior Mike Hannon's third round 71, wrapped up their first tournament of the year by shooting a 903 as a team. After entering the third and final round of the Labor Day Intercollegiate Tournament, hosted by Lindenwood-Belleville University, the Bruins rose to third place in the 12-team field, finishing just five shots off the pace.

Freed-Hardeman won the team title with a score of 898 while Drake Stepter (212, -4) of Freed-Hardeman claimed the individual title. Host-team Lindenwood-Belleville placed second, two strokes back, with a score of 900.

Bellevue's highest finisher was freshman Fernando Arzate who wrapped up the tournament in a tie for sixth place with a score of 224 (+8) after shooting 73 on the day. Senior Diego Gudino shot 72 while freshman Marc Juggins carded 77, and senior Tomas Ovejero wrapped up the day with an 82.

The Bruins next hit the links on Monday, Sept. 14 at the two-day Oklahoma City University Tournament to be played at Lincoln Park.
