Bellevue tied for 6th after 1st round at Illinois-Springfield Invite

Results

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Led by Mike Hannon's 1-under par 71, the Bellevue University men's golf team is currently tied for sixth place in the eight-team University of Illinois-Springfield Spring Invite at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles, Mo. 

The tournament, which is comprised of schools from NCAA Division II, NAIA and junior colleges, is currently being led by Lindenwood University, which shot a 4-under par team score of 284. Lindenwood's Ryan Dyck is the tournament's individual leader after shooting a 7-under 65 on the day. 

The Bruins are 16 strokes back at 12-over par 300. Hannon is currently tied for sixth place in the individual standings in the field of 54 golfers. 

Tomas Ovejero is tied for 25th with a 3-over 75. Jose Vega shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 30th place. Nicolas Handal is tied for 40th with a 6-over 78. Diego Gudino's 8-over par score of 80 puts him in a tie for 45th place. 

The tournament will conclude on Sunday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
