SHAWNEE, Okla. - Sophomore Nicolas Handal (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) and junior Enrique Jaramillo (Cali, Colombia) co-led the team with second round scores of 77 as the Bellevue University men's golf team placed 11th of 14 teams at the Oklahoma Baptist University Fall Invitational at the Shawnee Country Club.

After leading all Bruins with a score of 74 yesterday, Handal held on to pace the team with a two-day score of 151, good enough to tie for 16th in the 77-player field. Jaramillo shot 83 yesterday and finished fourth on the team – tied for 52nd overall – with a score of 160.

Senior Jose Vega (Medellin, Colombia) also shot under 80 for BU, posting a second round score of 78 to match his total from round one and place in a tie for 34th overall in the tournament. Junior Tomas Ovejero (Salta, Argentina) and sophomore Diego Gudino (Queretaro, Mexico) each shot 81 in the final round to place in a tie for 47th and 61st, respectively.

Oklahoma Baptist's Zach Oliver shot a tournament-record 64 on his way to a first place finish overall. Oklahoma Baptist won the team title with a score of 584, nine strokes ahead of second place Bethany College. Bellevue's score of 624 placed the Bruins 11th, just two strokes behind ninth-place Seminole State Community College and one behind 10th-place finisher Bethany College "B".

The team will return to action when they take part in the Mid-South Classic Invitational at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan. on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 29-30.
