KOHLER, Wis. -- The Bellevue University men's golf team concluded its fall season with a third place finish at the Kohler Collegiate Classic on Tuesday at the Whistling Straits Golf Course.
Grand View University won the 15-team field with a score of 613 while the Bruins finished in third place with a two-day total of 617. Grand Rapids Community College (615) finished runner-up.
Jose Vega paced the Bruins with a seventh place finish after recording scores of 77 and 75 for a total of 152.
Nicolas Handal (80-76--156) tied for 21st and Nicolas Herrera notched a 24th place finish with rounds of 84 and 73.
Tomas Ovejero recorded a two-round total of 159 to tie for 28th overall while Mike Hannon carded a 162 to finish in a tie for 40th.
Jared Multer (Grand Rapids CC), Matt Young (Morningside) and Blake Vinson (Texas Wesleyan) each tied for first place individually with a two-round total of 149.
