SALEM, Ore. -- Senior Davis Garner fired a 4-under par 68 to help the Bellevue University men's golf team maintain a tie for third place after two rounds at the 2013 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at Creekside Golf Club.

Oklahoma City University leads the tournament field with a two-round total of 8-under par 568 (280-288). Grand View University is in second at 582 (288-294), followed by Bellevue's 36-hole total of 587 (294-293). The Bruins are tied with California State - San Marcos.

Garner is currently 1-under par (75-68-- 143) after two rounds, putting him in a tie for 6th place individually. His score of 68 was the top round of the day.

"I got off to a good start after making a five-to-six footer on one," said Bellevue's Garner. "I felt really comfortable all day despite the rain. I made a lot of good par saves today and didn't really get myself into any trouble. It feels good, but there are still two days left. I still have to keep grinding, keep playing. It's my last tournament so I have to enjoy it more than anything."

Jose Vega is in a tie for 13th place at 2-over par (74-72 -- 146). John Matthews has a two-day total of 7-over par 151 (72-79), good for a tie for 43rd place. Tomas Ovejero is tied for 65th with a 154 (73-81) total. Mike Hannon shot a 2-over par 74 and is in a tie for 76th place with a 155 two-day total.

Oklahoma City's Sondre Ronold leads the individual standings with a 6-under par score of 138 (69-69).

The Bruins will tee off in Wednesday's third round at 3:40 p.m. central time.

The tournament is a 72-hole event with the final round scheduled for Friday, May 17.
