SHAWNEE, OKLA. -- Led by Davis Garner and Jose Vega's first and second place individual titles, the Bellevue University men's golf team won its third-straight tournament, finishing 15 strokes ahead of host Oklahoma Baptist University at the OBU Fall Invite at the Shawnee Country Club on Tuesday.
The Bruins shot a team total of 586 (+10) while OBU finished runner-up with a 601 score.
Garner finished the two-day tournament with a four-under-par score of 140 while Vega finished one stroke behind Garner with a total score of 141.
John Matthews also finished in the top 10, recording scores of 77 and 74 for a total of 151 to tie for eighth place overall.
Other Bruin golfers included Josh Larrison (78-76--154) and Mike Hannon (78-80--158).
BU also won the U.C. Ferguson Classic (Sept. 17-18) and the Grand View Classic (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) this season.
The tournament concludes the Bruins' fall season.
