KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University men's basketball player Christian Carter has been recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in an announcement made today by the NAIA national office.
Carter, a sophomore from Concord, Calif., is majoring in Sport Management.
In order to be eligible to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
Bellevue wrapped up the 2022-23 season with a 15-14 overall record, finishing fifth in the North Star Athletic Association regular season with a 7-7 conference mark. BU was eliminated in the NSAA Tournament quarterfinals by Valley City State.
