MADISON, S.D. -- Junior Lewis Hayes has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in helping the Bruins to a 75-69 road victory at York last Friday night.
Hayes scored 16 points in the victory over the Panthers, going 8-of-14 from the field while adding seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and a blocked shot.
With the win over York, Bellevue is now 2-0 on the season.
The Bruins will host the BU/NCC Classic this Friday-Saturday, Nov. 1-2, in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. Bellevue will entertain Briar Cliff at 5 p.m. on Friday night, before concluding the tournament with a 3 p.m. contest against Haskell Indian Nations on Saturday.
