MADISON, S.D. -- Bruin senior Sequan Walker became the second North Star Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week in as many opportunities, as announced by the conference office.

Bellevue turned their fortunes around last week by winning two of three games, thanks in large part to Walker. He scored in double figures in all three games, averaging 14.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game to go along with eight assists and four steals on the week. He shot 60.0 percent (FG), 47.1 percent (3-FG), and was 5-of-5 at the line on the week.

He began the week by scoring 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting and grabbing three rebounds, dishing out three assists, and swiping a pair of steals in the Bruins' game against #17 Dakota Wesleyan.

In leading Bellevue to a pair of wins over Lincoln Christian and Tabor at the BU/NCC Classic he went for averages of 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 68.8 percent from the floor. He knocked down 6-of-11 (54.5 percent) of his three-point tries.

He matched a season-high with 17 points against Tabor after establishing that as his high mark in the season-opener.

For the season Walker leads BU in scoring at 14.8 points per game. He's shooting 50.0 (FG), 42.4 (3-FG), and 83.3 (FT) and pulling down 4.0 rebounds per game, good for second on the team. He leads the team in both assists (16) and steals (5).

Bellevue begins a six-game road trip this weekend at the Ness Bros. Hall of Fame Tournament. The Bruins face the University of Northwestern Ohio on Friday at 5 p.m. and will square off with either Huntington University or East-West University on Saturday with a start time being determined by Friday's results.
