MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University junior forward Josh Meier (Justice, Ill./Kirkwood CC) has been named the North Star Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office.
Meier recorded a pair of double-doubles at the York Tip-Off Classic over the weekend. He went for 22 points and 10 rebounds in the season-opener against York College then followed that up with an 11-point, 11-rebound game against Friends University on Saturday.
He averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game for the week while shooting 63.6 percent from the floor and blocking a pair of shots.
Bellevue is home for two more games on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 2-3 when they host the BU/NCC Classic. The Bruins take on Lincoln Christian University on Friday at 11 a.m. and Tabor College on Saturday at 6 p.m.
