POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior guard Thomas Hammock has been named this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Men's Basketball Player of the Week in an announcement made today by the league office. 

Hammock averaged 16.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game in the Bruins' two conference home wins last week. He shot 61.1 percent from the field, including a 62.5 percent outing from behind the arc. Hammock nailed 10 3-pointers in the two wins. 

In Bellevue's, 115-71, victory over Haskell Indian Nations, Hammock nailed six 3-pointers , finishing with 18 points and two rebounds. He scored 15 points with four 3-pointer in BU's, 103-65, win over Oklahoma Wesleyan.  

The win over OWU avenged a 90-85 loss to the Eagles on Feb. 1. 

Bellevue (20-5, 7-2 MCAC) is currently ranked No. 12 in the nation and will host a key MCAC matchup against Waldorf College on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. The two teams are currently locked in a three-way tie for first place with Oklahoma Wesleyan in the latest MCAC standings.
