Austin Alexander came onto the baseball staff prior to the 2021 season following a standout collegiate career.

In his first year on the staff, he helped guide the Bruins to their second-straight NSAA Regular-Season crown and the prorgam's 23rd appearance in the NAIA National Tournament, falling just one game short of reaching the Avista-NAIA World Series.

Over the next two seasons, Alexander helped coach the Bruins to a 97-23 record with back-to-back appearances in the Avista NAIA World Series. The Bruins claimed both the NSAA Regular Season and Tournament titles in both 2022 and 2023 before going on to win the Bellevue Opening Round Bracket.

Outside of his work with the Bruins, Austin coached for two years in the Corn Belt League. During the summer of 2023 Summer Season, Alexander served as an assistant coach for the Kokomo Jackrabbits of the prestigious Northwoods League.

He began his collegiate career at Shelton State (Ala.) Community College before going on to play at National Powerhouse Georgia Gwinnett College in 2017. He transferred to BU ahead of the 2018 campaign and in his two years on campus Alexander was twice named an all-conference selection. At Bellevue, he hit .313 with a career .914 OPS that featured 19 home runs and 90 RBI.

Alexander holds a Bachelor's degree from BU and is currently pursuing his Master's.
