MADISON, S.D. - Senior Dylan Thorp (North Vancouver, B.C.) was named the North Star Athletic Association's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 25.
Thorp tossed a complete-game one-hit shutout in Bellevue's (Neb.) 3-0 victory over No. 12-ranked Jamestown (N.D.). He did not allow a walk, while striking out seven Jimmies' batters in seven innings as he picked up the victory on the bump.
For the season Thorp's record now sits at 3-2 in a team co-leading 37.2 innings of work. He owns a 3.11 ERA and leads the club with 40 strikesouts (9.56 K/9) and has issued just nine free passes.
After taking three of four from Jamestown over the weekend BU is now 14-14 overall and 3-1 in NSAA play. The Bruins host Clarke tomorrow in a double-header beginning at 2 p.m. at Brown Park.
