MADISON, S.D. -- The North Star Athletic Association announced its third edition of the baseball weekly awards on Monday. Bellevue swept the program with Max Dwyer (Seattle, Wash.) announced as NSAA Pitcher of the Week and Jonah Yang (Diamond Bar, Calif.) announced as NSAA Player of the Week.

The awards are the first weekly conference honors in the careers of both Dwyer and Yang.

Dwyer had a lights-out week anchoring the Bellevue bullpen. The senior closer recorded a pair of saves and didn't allow a run in 4.1 innings of work. Of the 13 out he records on the week, six came via strikeout against just one walk. Opposing batters were just 3-for-16 against him as he lowered his season ERA to 2.08 and upped his saves total to three for the season and 12 for his BU career.

Yang had a terrific week for the Bruins posting a slash line of .400/.515/.600 to lead BU to a second place finish at the Warner Invitational during a 4-4 week. He reached base safely in seven of eight games played including finding his way aboard multiple times on five times. Yang led the Bruins with 10 hits, five doubles, and seven walks while ranking second with seven RBI. He handled 10 chances in the outfield without incident. For the season Yang is now hitting .339 with a team-leading eight doubles and ranks second on the club with 10 RBI.

The Bruins sit at 7-11 overall and next host Midland University on Wednesday, Mar. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Don Roddy Field on the campus of Bellevue East High School.
