LEWISTON, Idaho – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that Bruin right-handed pitcher Stephan Meyer has been named a 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete. A total of 354 baseball student-athletes from across the country were named to the select list.

Meyer shared 2015 MCAC Pitcher of the Year honors with fellow Bruin Steve Sarcone while earning first team all-conference accolades. He led BU in 2015 with 11 wins and a 1.47 ERA while recording a team second-best 101 strikeouts.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Bellevue finished the 2015 season with a 46-15 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament title while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 18th time in school history.
