Junior Kevin Rodriguez (Pico Rivera, Calif.) allowed a lead-off home run in the seventh but settled down to get out of the inning on a fly ball double-play for his second save of the year.

Junior righty Aaron Bain (Cambridge, Ont.) pitched one inning to earn the win and move to 1-0 on the season.
