SHAWNEE, Okla. -- The 18th-ranked Bellevue University baseball team's first game of the NAIA Baseball Opening Round Tournament has been delayed due to wet field conditions at Ford Park. BU is the No. 2-seed in the Shawnee Bracket.
The Bruins (37-15-2), who were originally scheduled to play at 2:30 p.m. today against Northwestern (Iowa) College (41-11), will now open the tournament on Tuesday (May 13), beginning at 11 a.m.
Fourth-seeded Friends University will resume its game with No. 5 Bacone at 7 p.m. tonight. The game is currently scoreless in the top of the fourth inning.
Bellevue is making its fourth-consecutive and 17th-overall appearance in the NAIA Baseball National Tournament.
