KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Junior third baseman Nate Mullins was named a first team NAIA All-American in an announcement made today by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Selection Committee.

Mullins was named the 2013 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year while leading the Bruins with a .387 batting average, 67 hits, 50 RBIs, nine home runs, and a .613 slugging percentage.

The 2013 Bruins finished with a 45-10-1 record, winning the MCAC regular season with a 21-3 overall mark, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the third-straight year.

Along with being named a first-team all-MCAC selection, Mullins also earned a spot on the MCAC Gold Glove Team.

Mullins' honor marks the fourth-straight season the Bruins have placed as least one member on the NAIA All-American first or second team.
