POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the first time this year, senior first baseman Brian Embery has been the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Week, announced by the league office today.
For the week, Embery batted .444 with six runs scored, three doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs. In the Bruins' 14-1 win versus Doane College on April 24, he went 2-for-3 with five RBIs.
Embery ranks second on the team in doubles (13) and RBIs (48).
Bellevue will host the four-team MCAC Tournament on May 1-3 at Westgate Field. The Bruins will open tournament action on Wednesday, May 1 against Central Baptist College at 3:30 p.m.
