Dahmen signs with Bruin baseball
The Bellevue University baseball program under head coach Duane Monlux announced the addition of junior college short stop Beau Dahmen (Genesee, Idaho/Community College of Spokane/Genesee HS) to a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bellevue University beginning in the fall of 2011.

Dahmen started his collegiate career at Community College of Spokane in Spokane, Wash. where he was named to the 2011 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) East Region Gold Glove team at short stop. An excellent student, he was also named to the 2011 NWAACC all-academic team.

During the 2011 season, Dahmen batted .267, while recording with a .380 on-base percentage with 20 runs and 11 RBIs.

“Beau is a quality signing for Bellevue University," stated Monlux. "He is a quality baseball player that also excels in the classroom. He was a Gold Glove winner and an all-academic team selection this past season for the Community College of Spokane. We are always looking for solid defensive players and I think Beau fits that mode. We are excited to bring him into the Bellevue baseball program," added Monlux.

Dahmen joins the Bruins' earlier signees Aaron Beil (Omaha, Neb.), Ryan Knutz (Rochester, Wash.), Kody McFarland (Sugar City, Idaho), and Tanner Moore (Omaha, Neb.) in the 2011-12 recruiting class.

The 2011 Bruins finished the season with a 31-22 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round after winning the 2011 MCAC Tournament title.
