BISMARCK, N.D. -- After her impressive performances at last week's College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic, junior outside hitter Eve Fountain has earned her second-straight North Star Athletic Association Attacker of the Week honor.
Fountain averaged 4.00 kills, a .400 hitting percentage, 2.33 digs, and 1.33 blocks per set as the 14th-ranked Bruins swept the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) and No. 4-ranked and previously unbeaten Concordia (Neb.) University.
She recorded 12 kills and hit .435 as the Bruins dominated Concordia 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-13). Fountain registered 12 kills, eight digs, and six blocks in the sweep (25-13, 25-15, 25-17) over USF.
Fountain is currently third in the NSAA with 3.69 kills per set.
The Bruins travel to Peru, Neb., on Wednesday, Sept. 4, for a 7 p.m. non-conference match at Peru State College.
