
VALLEY CITY, N.D. -- Coree Lipovsky and Paige Holdsworth combined for 19 kills and hit over .500 to lead the 15th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-21) sweep at Valley City State University in North Star Athletic Association action Saturday at Graichen Gymnasium.
With the win, the Bruins improved to 21-5 on the season and 7-2 in the NSAA. VCSU dropped to 5-15 overall and 1-8 in league play. Bellevue is currently tied with Dakota State in the latest NSAA standings.
Lipovsky pounded 10 kills on .529 hitting while adding two digs and a pair of blocks. Holdsworth finished with nine kills on .500 hitting and added eight digs in the win.
Olivia Galas dished out a match-high 39 assists while adding five digs and five kills.
Sierra Athen produced her team-leading 15th double-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills and 11 digs.
Madi Evans paced the Bruin defense with a team-high 15 digs.
Caitlyn Fischbach led the Vikings with nine kills on .350 hitting, while Charlotte Huschka contributed with a match-high 16 digs.
The Bruins return home on Friday, Oct. 25, for a 6 p.m. conference match against Mayville State University at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
