MADISON, S.D. -- For the fifth time this season, sophomore Olivia Galas has been named the North Star Athletic Association Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' three matches last week. It marked the 11th time in her career she has received the weekly honor from the conference office.
Galas recorded her first career triple-double while producing double-doubles in BU's other two matches on the week.
Galas averaged 12.33 assists, 3.25 digs, and 1.50 kills per set as the Bruins went 2-1 on the week.
In BU's 3-2 loss at Mayville State, Galas collected a triple-double with a career-high 68 assists, to go along with 10 kills and 10 digs. Galas finished with 51 assists, 15 digs, and five kills in the Bruin's four-set win over Doane. BU picked up its first NSAA win of the season at Presentation, where Galas registered 29 assists, 14 digs, and three kills.
Galas currently leads the conference and ranks fifth nationally with 658 total assists. She is 11th nationally with 10.61 assists per set.
The Bruins (12-4, 1-1 NSAA) will host Dickinson State University on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
