MADISON, S.D. -- For the second-consecutive week, sophomore setter Olivia Galas has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' three matches against ranked teams in the Bill Marshall Classic in Hastings, Neb.
Galas helped guide the Bruins to a 1-2 record in the tournament, as BU swept 14th-ranked Hastings College while losing in five sets to No. 3-ranked Grand View University and in four sets to 10th-ranked Eastern Oregon University.
Galas averaged 10.58 assists, 2.75 digs and 1.33 kills per game in the three matches. She posted a pair of double-doubles with 51 assists and 13 digs in the loss to GVU and 42 assists and 14 digs in the EOU match.
An eight-time NSAA Setter of the Week honoree in her career, Galas ranks sixth nationally with 257 total assists and 20th with 9.88 assists per game.
The Bruins will host the 25-team GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic this Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 29-31 at the Lied Activity Center in Bellevue.
