MADISON, S.D. -- For the sixth time this season, freshman Olivia Galas has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' four wins last week.
Galas averaged 11.6 assists per set (152 total assists), while also adding 18 kills, 23 digs, nine blocks and two service aces in the four matches.
In the Bruins' 3-0 upset sweep over No. 25 Ottawa University, Galas produced 34 assists, seven digs, and three kills. In a four-set victory over the University of Saint Mary (Kan.), she dished out 54 assists, while adding six digs, five kills, and a pair of blocks. Galas directed the BU offense to a .275 hitting percentage on the week.
Galas currently ranks fifth nationally with 1,242 total assists and 11.1 assists per game.
The Bruins (22-8, 10-2 NSAA) will host fifth-ranked Dordt College at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 30) in non-conference action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
