MADISON, S.D. -- Freshman libero Madi Evans and freshman setter Olivia Galas were both recipients of North Star Athletic Association honors this week for their performances in the Bruins' three matches last week.

Evans was named the NSAA Defensive Player of the Week after averaging a stellar 7.33 digs per set while adding nine set assists, and two service aces on the week. She started the week with a 30-dig performance in BU's four-set loss at Doane, where she also added a service ace and an assist. Evans followed that up with a career-high 35 digs in the Bruins' five-set win at Mayville State on Friday. She concluded the week with 23 digs and an ace in BU's sweep at Presentation.

Galas was named the NSAA Setter of the Week for the fifth time this season. She averaged 11.42 assists, 2.67 digs and 1.33 kills per set while hitting .306 on the week and adding four service aces. She produced her team-leading 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season against Doane and Presentation.

Evans Ranks No. 36 Nationally with 500 digs on the season and is averaging 5.05 per set which is good for 43rd nationally.

Galas ranks sixth in the NAIA in assists per set with 11.01 and is eighth with 1,090 in total. Both of those marks lead the NSAA.
