
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Freshmen Sierra Athen and Olivia Galas recorded double-doubles and Rosa Reed-Bouley smashed a match-high 13 kills to lead the Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-16) sweep over York College Friday night in the Bruins' second day of action at the 26-team GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic.
Reed-Bouley hit .381 while also adding a match-high five blocks. Athen produced 11 kills and 14 digs, while Galas directed the BU offense, registering 42 assists along with 10 digs.
The Bruins hit .287 in the match while limiting the Panthers to a -.057 attacking clip.
Madi Evans led the BU defense with a match-high 15 digs while adding a pair of assists.
Haley Scoffield and Shiloh Lively paced York with four kills apiece.
BU (4-2) will conclude play in the tournament on Saturday with an 11 a.m. match against Montana State-Northern and a 7 p.m. contest versus Rocky Mountain.
