Bellevue University head coach Trish Siedlik announced today the signing of 5-6 defensive specialist/libero Reahgan Stueve (Missouri Valley, Iowa/Missouri Valley HS) to a letter of intent to continue her volleyball and academic careers at BU beginning in the fall of 2018.

Stueve was a four-year letterwinner for coach Kris Miller at Missouri Valley (Iowa) High School in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She was a two-time all-conference and all-district selection for the Big Reds while being named the KMAland Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. A two-time team captain, Stueve finished her career at MVHS as the school's all-time leader in kills (701), digs (1,098), and aces (150). She also owns MVHS's single-match record for digs with 42.

A versatile athlete, Stueve lettered four years in basketball, earning honorable mention KMAland honors and was a first team all-conference selection in softball. She was also a member of the school's dance team for two years.

"Reahgan is one of the top Iowa area athletes that will serve as a utility player for us", said Siedlik. "Not only will she be used on the defensive side of our program, but she will be training as a setter as well. Due to her versatility and athleticism, she will be raising a lot of her teammates' levels of play during that process. She makes everyone around her better. We are so glad that she chose BU to further her studies in Bio-Chemistry and will be able to take advantage of our new state of the art labs."

An excellent student, Stueve earned all-academic honors four years and was on her school's Honor Roll since her freshman year.

A member of various club teams, Stueve most recently competed for Premier Nebraska 18 Gold under head coach Nate Mongan, where she helped her team qualify for the 2018 USA Junior Nationals in Anaheim, Calif.

Stueve joins eight earlier signees in the 2018 class: 5-11 outside hitter Sierra Athen (Red Oak, Iowa/Red Oak HS), 6-0 middle blocker Sienna Black (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Treynor HS), 5-5 defensive specialist/libero Sidney Craig (Harlan, Iowa/Harlan HS), 5-4 defensive specialist/libero Madi Evans (Omaha, Neb./Millard North HS), 5-9 rightside hitter Payton Fehringer (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek HS), 5-8 setter Olivia Galas (Omaha, Neb./Gross Catholic HS), 6-0 middle blocker Coree Lipovsky (Fairfield, Neb./Sandy Creek HS), and 6-1 middle blocker Rosa Reed-Bouley (Omaha, Neb./Gross Catholic HS).

Bellevue finished the 2017 season with a 30-13 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the 10th time in school history after finishing second in the NSAA Post-season Tournament. Bellevue was ranked No. 19 in the final NAIA National Top 25 Poll.
