BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The 20th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team used a balanced attack to cruise past Concordia (Neb.) University, 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-15) Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Bellevue improved to 17-7 on the season with the win. Concordia, who is receiving votes in the latest national poll, dropped to 11-11 overall. 

Four Bruins registered six or more kills in the win. Shayla Scanlan led BU with eight kills and six blocks. Hope Lambrecht and Pakalana Helekahi each registered seven kills, with Lambrecht tying Scanlan with a match-high six blocks. 

BU held a commanding 11-5 advantage in blocks and a 46-39 edge in digs. Verenice Chaparro anchored the Bruin defense with 14 digs and two service aces as BU held the Bulldogs to a -.010 attack percentage on the night. 

Maddie Squiers directed the BU offense to a .200 hitting clip, dishing out 28 assists while adding eight digs, two blocks, and a service ace. 

Paige Getz led the Bulldog offense with six kills, while Jocelyn Garcia produced 19 digs for the CU defense. 

The Bruins will host No. 4-ranked Viterbo University in a key conference match tomorrow (Oct. 6) night at 7 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
