BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Senior setter Beth Walker (Dubuque, Iowa) was named the North Star Athletic Association's Setter of the Week for her performances last week in Bellevue's five matches. The award is the second of the season for Walker who has now garnered conference Setter of the Week honors for the 15th time in her All-American career.

Walker recorded a pair of double-doubles, including her second triple-double of the season, while helping the Bruins to a 4-1 record on the week. Walker helped start the Bruins' week on a high note with a 31-assist and four-ace performance in a dominant 3-0 upset over #24 Doane.

She recorded a triple-double in BU's five-set victory over Mount Mercy at the Clarke University Tournament. In addition, she was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 9.44 assists and 2.81 digs per set in leading Bellevue to a 3-1 mark on the weekend. Her other double-double came in a 3-1 win over (RV) Clarke where she finished the match with 38 assists and 17 digs.

Bellevue has now won 10 of their last 12 matches to improve to 15-10 (1-0 NSAA) on the year. The Bruins will be back in action tomorrow night when they host Peru State at 7 p.m. in the annual "Dig Pink" rally match.
