
BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Freshman middle blockers Abbi Porter and Hope Lambrecht combined for 21 kills to lead the Bellevue University volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-22) sweep over Central Baptist College in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
The Bruins remained undefeated in conference play, improving to 4-0 in the MCAC and 18-16 overall. CBC fell to 4-18 on the season and 0-4 in league play.
Porter led the Bruins with a career-high 11 kills, to go along with two digs and a block. Lambrecht registered 10 kills on .353 hitting while adding a match-high four blocks.
LaJaida Even and Pimi Dike both added nine kills in BU's balanced attack.
Junior setter Beth Walker guided the Bruins to a .233 hitting percentage, dishing out 42 assists while recording her team-leading 17th double-double of the season by adding a match-high 15 digs.
Bellevue out-dug the Mustangs, 58-39 and held CBC to a .080 hitting percentage.
The Mustangs were led by Kelsey Webb's six kills and nine digs.
The Bruins will travel to York, Neb. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 for a 7 p.m. conference match at York College.
