
FREMONT, Neb. -- The seventh-ranked Midland University volleyball team handed the Bruins a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-18) setback Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Event Center.
Sophomore LaJaida Even led all players with 14 kills on .423 hitting, while Beth Walker recorded her fourth-straight double-double, finishing with 23 assists and 11 digs.
The Bruins struggled offensively, finishing with 23 hitting errors while hitting at a .111 clip on the night. The Warriors had 12 service aces in the match, led by setter Megan Fargley's match-high five.
Farley guided the Warriors to a .165 hitting percentage on the night with KC Heimann and Heather Pribyl pacing MU with seven kills apiece.
Defensively, BU held a 31-25 advantage in digs, while the Warriors held and 8-4 edge in blocks.
The Bruins (0-9) will head to La Crosse, Wis. on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 5-6, to participate in the Viterbo University Tournament.
