BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The No. 17th-ranked Bellevue University volleyball team advanced to its 10th-straight Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship match Friday night with a 25-14, 25-13, 25-16 sweep over Oklahoma Wesleyan University at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
The Bruins (33-8) will battle second-seeded College of the Ozarks at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 16) in the title match. The winner will receive an automatic berth into the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament.
Oklahoma Wesleyan ends its season with a 22-10 overall record.
Beth Walker recorded 36 assists, eight digs, five kills, two blocks and service ace.
Caitlyn Rueth notched her 10th double-double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs to go along with two blocks.
Symone Faulkner also tallied 10 kills with a team-high five blocks.
Meghan Evans led the defense with 17 digs. She also added five set assists.
The Bruins finished with a hitting percentage of .320 and held OWU to -.019 hitting. BU also notched seven blocks.
The Eagles were led by Daniela Pena's seven kills and five digs.
BU never trailed in the match and improved to 34-3 all-time against the Eagles.
