Rueth, Walker earn MCAC honors

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University volleyball players Caitlyn Rueth and Beth Walker have been awarded  Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly honors. Rueth was named the Hitter of the Week while Walker earned Setter of the Week accolades.

Rueth, who has been named the MCAC Hitter of the Week four times in her career, recorded 23 kills, 19 digs and hit .513 in the Bruins' two conference wins last week.

In BU's win against Waldorf College on Nov. 9, Rueth recorded nine kills and a team-high 15 digs. For the season, she ranks second on the team with 332 kiils.

For the third-straight week and seventh time this year, Walker earned Setter of the Week honors. She averaged 11.5 assists/set with 10 digs, seven kills and five blocks last week.

Walker leads the NAIA with 1,583 assists and was named the National Player of the Week on Nov. 5.

The Bruins will host the MCAC Tournament on Nov. 15-16.
