KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University sophomore setter Beth Walker has been named this week's NAIA National Player of the Week.

Walker averaged 11.2 assists/set with 47 digs, 22 kills and seven blocks in the Bruins' five matches. In BU's 3-1 win against Briar Cliff University, she recorded 57 assists, 13 digs, seven kills, four blocks and two service aces.

She currently leads the NAIA with 1,514 assists and ranks fifth in assists/set (11.2).

A native of Dubuque, Iowa, Walker has also been named the MCAC Setter of the Week six times this season and has notched a team-best 15 double-doubles.

The 16th-ranked Bruins (30-8, 10-0 MCAC) will return to action on Friday, Nov. 8 when they play at in-state conference foe College of Saint Mary. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Lied Fitness Center.
